2015 MCBA South Eastern Coastal Chapter Show
Show is scheduled for November 9th, 2015 in Titusville, FL. Great news for us FL breeders! More info is coming on this so stay tuned.
Want to learn how to groom your chin for show? The Ryersons may still sell chinchilla grooming combs (best for show purposes), but a cat slicker brush is fine as well if you are new to showing and don't want to make the investment just yet. You can google chin grooming videos on YouTube or if nearby you can bring your chin here and I can show you how its done.
Your chin does NOT have to be pedigreed. I also learned my first year that nibbled ears, missing eyes, etc don't matter. Animals are judged on pelt (fur) and size. Bring plenty of money for raffle items! Last year there were tons of fantastic items up for grabs. Each year there are tons of items for raffle from breeders and suppliers as well as live animals available for purchase before and after show. Come meet us, the other chin parents and breeders, and have some fun!
Show Grooming Items
These are the items used for show grooming. I do not have all the combs. There are 4 and I only have #1 and #2.
-show comb #1
-show comb #2
-paper type lint roller
-hacksaw blade
-sharp scissors for tail trimming
It is also beneficial to make sure you have enough show cages for your animals. These can be purchased from the Ryersons as well.
